About Our Club
Welcome to the Lyme Old Lyme Soccer Club! Whether you are new or returning, below we have listed some brief information for you to look over to help in your decision on whether the LOLSC is right for your child and your family. In addition, please read our Parent Information guide and Player/Parent Expectations for a complete overview of club protocol and expectations.

Lyme-Old Lyme Soccer Club is a community focused soccer program that is dedicated to providing U10 through U14 players with an enjoyable and fulfilling soccer experience by giving each player the opportunity to reach their own potential with the purpose of preparing them to play at higher levels.

Our players will be provided the opportunity to develop the appropriate foundational skills and an enjoyable soccer experience. Another goal of LOLSC is to ensure our players have the foundation to be competitive at Middle and High School levels.

We will accomplish this by:

- Providing volunteer coaches the resources needed to ensure a structured and comprehensive developmental plan from U10 through U14

- Working closely with Old Lyme Parks and Rec and High School coaches to ensure a seamless transition between the various programs

- Ensuring our parents and community are engaged in soccer development and engaged with the LOLSC

- Reaching out to local businesses for sponsorship and fundraising activities

LOLSC is a member of the SE District of the CT Junior Soccer Association. We are very pleased to offer a well balanced competitive travel soccer program. The LOLSC takes pride in its efforts to provide the children of Lyme and Old Lyme with a quality program that provides for an enjoyable soccer experience and the opportunity for each player to reach their own potential.

Our club is run by parent volunteers who are coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, referee coordinators, field coordinators, uniform managers and LOLSC Directors. All parents are encouraged to volunteer (no soccer experience necessary). Please contact a member of the Board to see how you can help your child's socce

Registration for the fall season is typically in April and Soccer Skills Evaluations are typically in June. The Soccer Skills Evaluations are a professionally run and impartial assessment package used to best place children on teams in the Fall so each player can get the most from their experience with the club. The Player Evaluation scores are also used to place each player on either a Classic (A team) or Rec Plus (B team) at the U14 level. The teams are age and gender specific (see registration for the birth date cutoffs). Again, the goal is to form balanced teams in order assure the best possible soccer experience.

The LOLSC fall outdoor season typically begins the first week in September and runs through the second week of November. In the late fall and winter, LOLSC offers an indoor soccer session for players. The club offers a futsal program in March and April. In addition, LOLSC offers a spring league with 6 weeks of games in May and early June. If your child loves soccer, they have the opportunity to play all year with LOLSC.

During the fall outdoor season, there are 8 league games, half played at "home" at Town Woods in Old Lyme and the team may travel to several of the surrounding towns for games. The LOLSC also encourages each coach to enter their team in one or more of the many regional soccer tournaments.

The LOLSC Director of Coaching and Parent Coaches will help each child develop to his or her potential.

Please feel free to contact any board member for further information. We are looking forward to our next season.
